The Early Days

Xi Mengjing, a female baby, was found by a comrade named Jia Zhaohuai in the Huangtanggang Villager’s Team Committee of Guannan Village, Yanqiao Town, Dingyuan County on 04-20-2006. With the approval from the Civil Administration Bureau of Dingyuan County, she was admitted into our institute on 04-20-2006. Her living expenses have been supplied by the Civil Administration Bureau of Dingyuan County. When she was found, her umbilical cord exuded blood. After examining her, doctors determined that she was a newborn baby. Therefore, we regarded her date of birth as the day when she was found: 04-20-2006. When she arrived, her height was 50cm, weight was 2.5kg, head circumference was 32.5cm, and chest circumference was 33cm. She was in good health. When she was first found, she had a round face, black hair, single-edged eyelids, and a rosy complexion.

Physical Development

Physical Development


Every day she gets up at 6:00 in the morning, takes a noon nap around 12:00, and goes to bed about 21:00 at night. She eats 5 meals each day and has a good appetite. She has breakfast at 7:00 and primarily eats milk and rice powder. At 9:00 in the morning, she eats some supplementary food which mainly includes steamed eggs, pig bone soup, mashed meat, mashed vegetables and noodle. She has lunch at 11:00 and mainly eats milk and rice powder. She has some supplementary food at 14:00 in the afternoon. Around 15:30 in the afternoon, she drinks milk. She has another meal about 20:00 in the evening and primarily eats milk and rice powder. Her favorite food is milk and rice powder. She is a sound sleeper. She has a normal intellectual development. When people tease her, she will make some laughing sounds. She is able to identify the directions that sounds come from. She can stretch out her hands to reach for toys and roll over. She is able to distinguish the familiars from the strangers. She can grab the toys around her. When she sees food, she will be very excited.

In reading the baby's description it says she gets very excited when she sees food, seems like she is taking after her dad already!
