We had the official request to visit Jillian's orphanage approved yesterday. We had to make an offical request because foreigners are not allowed in this town. The trip was 1.5 hrs of travel through Hefei and rural China!!
It was an incredable journey that we will be able to show Jillian when she is older. The staff and nannys were excited to present there orphanage. They are very proud of the work that they do to provide a safe and healthy life for the abandoned children. You will see from the pictures that it is a clean and organized place. This gave all the families a sense of relief to know that our girls were given good care for this first part of there life!
The nannys spotted their girls and were calling them out by name. Jillians chinese name is Xi Meng Jing. We heard one of the nannys calling Meng Jing. They are very special people!
This day is something we will remember forever!! Also we will be able to give Jillian some insite into her local town and orphanage when she would like to know!
She had a great ride and did not cry at all. If you think boston drivers are bad, you have not seen anything until you see these people drive. Trucks, cars, motorcycles,bikes all have the right of way!! Not traffic lights, stop signs and it is everyman for himself!!!

More great photos! Looks like Jillian has a very happy personality...sweet smile! Looking at the orphanage was great, looks like the facility really takes care of the children. Seeing the pictures of the walls made me think how Jillian will LOVE her new room with all the cute paintings. Thanks for sharing the pictures and your adventures today. Can't wait to see you all.

Gracie, Faith and I have been checking your website everyday to read your messages and look at your pictures. It was so wonderful to see the pictures of when you first met Jillian. What an amazing day that must have been. You all look so happy, and Kerrin, you are just beaming!! The girls were especially excited to see Jillian wearing Faith's snowsuit. I'm so glad you were able to use it. She looks adorable in it.

First of all thank you so much for doing this wonderful blog to share this special event with everyone. Your pictures and blogs are AWESOME! Jillian is absolutely ADORABLE! What a cutie and she looks so content being with you. A perfect match! The pictures of you guys with Jillian are delightful. We're so glad that everything has worked out so well after all the delays.
